Cooking
Cooking at a campsite is a wonderful experience. Our Pack doesn't have any cooking equipment so "if" we do more advanced cooking then a lot of this will need to be supplied by parents when camping as a pack. If camping outside our pack, consider these to be a good start.
These are classic, made in the USA and designed for cooking over a fire. The feet and lid are designed so you can place charcoals on top and stack these pots on top of each other.
Coleman Stoves are classic and a goto for any campout where cooking over a fire isn't going to happen.Â
I've bought a couple of these because they look well-made and come with a carrying case. The design looks solid... but I honestly haven't tested them yet. Future Blog Post!
When cooking with Cast Iron, it is a good idea to have quality gloves available.
This is a pretty special lifter. For sure you can get simpler lifters, but the one above is multi-purpose and stores inside the dutch oven when not being used.
